I'm a stay at home mom of 4 cute kids. I love anything that has to do with homes & decorating. My husband Steve often gets recruited into helping me finish things that I start! We are making our house a "HOME" one project at a time!!

Messes EVERYWHERE...

We are in the middle of the "not -so -fun" part of our remodel.
Let's just say, it's a little overwhelming to have clutter & messes everywhere.
I don't function too well with clutter.  It drives me crazy!
We have a fridge in the hallway...
 A microwave on the floor...
You can grab a snack or bowl of cereal right in the living room...
Our great room is a cluster of furniture in the middle of the room...
The basement is just plain scary, this is only one side of the mess...
We have a few plastic walls to try & keep the dust down...
Then I walk into my "new" kitchen & get excited...
I was shocked at how open it feels after they took down the temporary wall.
It's messy, but I can finally picture what it's going to look like in the end.
I love planning where I'll put the table, pendant lights and a few other decorations.
We still have a ways to go because we are changing the mantel on the fireplace in the great room and adding new trim around all of the windows.
They are going to be starting on our ceiling tonight.
You can see a few examples of the ceiling I picked HERE.
These are the pendant lights I picked to go above my island...

This is the kitchen faucet that we will be installing...

I never thought I'd say this, but "I can't wait to be able to cook dinner again."

  1. I'm scared to even look at this! We are in the planning stages of a kitchen redo and I am dreading that messy stage! I can't wait to see what you do in there!

  3. I remember when I renovated my kitchen and we also took down walls and it was so messy! However, it was all SO worth it in the end! I can't wait to see the finished results!
