Projects For The New Year...

Happy New Year!
It's really hard to believe it's 2013!
Are you the type that makes New Year's Resolutions?
 I definitely have a few things I want to do to our house this year!
I definitely want to add more wood molding!  

We have added some to our entry way...
And in our daughter's Nursery....
I love how it changes the whole feel of a room.

My goal is to add some chunkier wood around the front door & living room windows.  

Here are a few inspiration photos...

Her whole house is inspiring, but I just love the wood molding around the door!

Next for the window casing...I found quite a few inspiring ideas!

Then on the main wall in my living room, I'd love to add a wood planked wall!

I love the look of this!  
When I asked my husband if he was ready to help me get started? He replied, "That's a lot of wood!"  
That is true, but it would look great!
 It only took about 5 years to get around to adding the board & batten in the entry way, but it sure turned out nice when we finished!

I don't think you can really have too much wood molding & casing...it makes this room look amazing!!

    I love wood molding as well and could put it in every room. Just a question though - do you think you can combine molding to make wood paneling and the horizontal wood boards in one area? I can't quite visualize the two looks together, maybe in part because one is horizontal and one is vertical.

    I do love molding and trim, too and wish we had more in our home. I did finally get my husband to add beadboard to the breakfast room and powder room only because it is wallpaper and not real wood. He could have added real wood, but he didn't want to mess with taking off the baseboards so we went the easy route and no one can tell the difference.

    I have recently fallen in love with board and batten walls, and they are so easy to DIY. I have done our sunroom and daughter's room and just finished our entryway.     I love board and batten. We added some to our entry too. Trim work also makes a huge difference in a house. Found you today via under the table and dreaming - I'm a new follower. :)

    I LOVE LOVE LOVE wood moulding! I'd add it to every room in my house if I could! Love the door moulding-that's on my to do list for this year as well!
