When we noticed the next day it gave me a stomach ache...
Who could do such a horrible thing?

We still don't know who was responsible, but the news reported over a hundred cars were tagged that weekend in a neighborhood close to ours. The police officer said they were building a case & took down our information.
Who knows if they'll ever figure out who it was, but it is saddening when your property gets ruined.
I really didn't think it would come off of our fence, but I did find a miracle product!
I purchased it at Walmart, but I'm sure you can find it at most home improvement stores too.
It said to spray it onto the scrub brush & wipe the fence. That didn't take it off for me, so I sprayed it right onto the fence & then scrubbed & rinsed.
I can think of plenty of other ways I could of spent my time, but at least it did come off!

I took the Goof Off Graffiti Remover, a bucket with warm soapy water, two scrub brushes & a pair of plastic gloves.
I used one brush to scrub & the other one for rinsing (our hose wasn't hooked up yet).
I just followed the instructions on the back of the can.It said to spray it onto the scrub brush & wipe the fence. That didn't take it off for me, so I sprayed it right onto the fence & then scrubbed & rinsed.

I am looking at installing security gates in Toronto. Does anyone know a good deal?
ReplyDeleteWe had some hooligans spray paint our vinyl fence. My family was out of town for the week and we came back to a giant mess. I was really angry at first, but we were all stupid kids at some point. Unfortunately, forgiveness doesn't fix the fact that I have to replace my vinyl fence. I thought about trying this method but as much damage as there is, it would take forever. http://www.allcountiesfenceandsupply.com/vinyl-fencing.html
ReplyDeleteYeah...It's unfortunate that there are people out there that just seem to want to make your life miserable. The good thing about white plastic fencing is that it can be easily cleaned with the right products. Goof Off works well for these little messes!
ReplyDeleteSounds like it's a tough job to clean graffiti off of vinyl fences! No wonder it would be a punishment to clean it off of stuff. I'm glad it came off eventually! http://www.fencenashville.net
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you're very satisfied with your vinyl fencing, even if it took two hours to get that graffiti off. My husband wants to get one installed, and I'm looking for pros and cons. Any input? http://www.elrodfence.com/faq.nxg
ReplyDeleteYeah I feel you there, it's a pain to spend that much time on something that isn't necessarily fun. On the bright side your fences look like an amazing fresh and completely white color. They don't look off or weird at all. I'm thinking about getting some vinyl fence in my yard just like this. http://ashleefencecompany.com/vinyl_fence.html
ReplyDeleteMy neighborhood keeps getting tagged with spray paint. Someone has now been sneaking into my backyard and written things all over my back fence. How can I get these words off of my vinyl fence?

These are some very well built and good looking fences. They have a lot of style and class to them, and can really bring a nice finishing touch to any yard. I hope that I can have nice fences like this when I have a home of my own.

We are planning on having a vinyl fence installed next year. I think this will really help us paint the fence correctly. My wife promised me that once the fence is complete we can get a dog. This project shouldn't take very long. http://www.alliedfencetampa.com/vinyl.php
ReplyDeleteOh no, I am so sorry that someone would graffiti on your fence. Fortunately that has never happened to us on our vinyl fence, but I am glad that I came across this article and hopefully I will be able to remember this information just in case that happens to our fence. Thanks for this really helpful information in this article. http://rmfp.com/fencing/
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great information. A couple of days ago my son was playing with some spray paint, and he ended up painting our fences. At first I freaked out a little, because I thought that this stuff wouldn't come off. After reading through this I feel a little bit better, and I'll definitely end up trying out your advice.

I am sure he was in no hurry to leave his beloved wife and daughters, but you can bet he was proud to die with his boots on. chicago banners
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that the graffiti came off your vinyl fence fairly easily! I know it took some scrubbing, but it would have been harder to get that off of a wood fence. You would have had to repaint if you had a wood fence or some really good scrubbing arms. I love the look of white vinyl fences and it would have been horrible if that hadn't come off. http://www.gatesventura.com/Fencing-Products-Ventura-CA.html
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry that you found spray paint on your vinyl fence. I'm glad that you're sharing how to clean it off. It's good to know that there are graffiti removing spays that can clean vinyl fences. This could be useful if I ever find spray paint on my fence. Thanks for sharing this information!
