I'm a stay at home mom of 4 cute kids. I love anything that has to do with homes & decorating. My husband Steve often gets recruited into helping me finish things that I start! We are making our house a "HOME" one project at a time!!

FINALLY...Kitchen Remodel

This has been on our list of projects for over nine years!
It's FINALLY happening...
I've been singing, "I'm dreaming of a white KITCHEN" to my kids all month!
I have to admit that my nerves don't handle the demolition too well.
Lucky for me these two enjoy it!
There is dust everywhere, but it will be worth it in the end.

Here are a few "must-haves" that I wanted to incorporate into the remodel:
A farmhouse sink...

An island...

A big drawer for the garbage & recycle cans...

It had to be white...

This is the style of our cabinets.
We are debating whether we should bump out the one wall 4 feet to add a little more space.
What do you think?
I can't decide if it would be worth the extra money.
I'll keep you posted on our progress!
Lets hope the progress continues quickly!

  1. Four feet is a lot of space overall, in my mind. Can't wait to see how it turns out. We have a trash drawer like that and I love it! We don't keep the recycle in there because we have so much but it's such a handy feature and keeps the trash hidden.

  2. I can't wait to see how this turns out! I wanted a slide-out for the trash can in my kitchen but the way our cabinets are, there was no way to do it. I admit, I cried a little. I'm your newest follower!

  7. Great choice of colors, materials and theme! I guess the 9 year delay has done you good since you were able to finalize everything and have little trouble with the execution. How is it now? If ever you find your self searching for quality materials, you can visit with trusted sellers.

  8. You see how they have developed your kitchen and select the units accordingly. This is not going to create factors easier for you if you have financial restrictions but at least you will get an idea about the look that you can provide to your kitchen. construction companies san francisco
